Love is in the air & so is color!
This month I have found myself inspired by all of the Valentine’s Day themes can be incorporated into the decor of your home. Of course, you can go over the top with all of the reds, pinks, flowers, hearts, generic items but why not tone it down and carry out these items into your house throughout the year. This strategy can be achieved through many different design details, below are a few of my favorite ways to incorporate love into your home year round.
Fabrics
This use of fabric causes a subtle but bold statement. In a space without much color adding a material with interesting hues to the seats of the chairs adds just enough detail & is accented perfectly with the small floral arrangement.

Artwork
Bold, colorful artwork can spruce up any blank wall. Mixing multiple colors of pink, red and purple on a canvas can help give the piece dimension and texture. The use of so many colors makes this piece the center of attention.

Paint colors
Blush Pink is the new neutral…or at least I like to think so & so do many other designers. This Pleasant Pink from Benjamin Moore is the perfect “pop of color” to go with any decor palette. It can liven up a very masculine room or remain in the background as a very neutral contribution to the overall feel of the space.

Accessories
If you have the self-control to leave sweets out, why not coordinate the colors with your interior. This can be a fun way to change things up with the seasons and add more color to your color scheme. It’s not only pretty but functional & everyone deserves a treat every once in a while!

Florals
Faux floral arrangements are a great way to bring the happiness of flowers in your home without the expense of continually buying fresh blooms. Not to mention the constant struggle for me to keep anything alive! Flowers are not only beautiful to look at, but the vase can be a piece of art in its own.
What do you think? Are you willing to implement any of our Valentine’s Day inspiration? We believe there is a lot to be gained from this special day that rolls around once a year. If you’re looking for us, we’ll be out spreading the love of color for the rest of this month but rest assured we’ll always have time to talk design with our clients.
